Steve ministers in two parallel universes in the international mission world. As a Strategic Life Coach within Novo, he comes alongside team leaders and staff to helping them reflect on areas of their greatest effectiveness, or helping them refocus areas of their lives that may have fallen out of focus due to the stresses and circumstances of crosscultural ministry. Externally Steve consults with both North American and Majority World mission organizations in the areas of Staff and Leader Development and Strategic Life Coaching. He serves as a life coach to some of the estimated 50% of missionaries and mission leaders who are in the wrong role, placed there by mission leaders to accomplish a task—but not placed in roles according to their gifting, calling or passion; and often left with inadequate supervision, care and training.

Steve spends much of his time helping other agencies address this tragic gap in the stewardship of God’s people in cross-cultural service. His most strategic involvements may be the assessments and life coaching he does with mission leaders in transition, helping them sculpt roles that are aligned with their spiritual gifting, calling, and passion. Steve is in demand as a team building specialist, coaching front-line mission teams to function as Spirit-empowered Body Life teams in the difficult places of the world.
